A Message from the President
Dear Members,
Happy Diwali and a very prosperous 2065 to you all. As you all know I
have been elected President of our Samaj for a three year term. It is
my honor and privilege to serve our community to the best of my
abilities.
This task is a lot easier as I continue on a strong foundation laid by
my predecessors Mr. Indubhai Solanki, Mr. Satishbhai Shah, Mr.
Vinodbhai Patel, and Mr. Pravinbhai Patel. I wish to thank them as well
as my peers on the board for their trust in me.
My heartfelt thanks to all our sponsors, some who remain anonymous, for
their generosity in supporting our Navarari Program and Annual
Directory. We would not enjoy such a glorious celebration without their
support.
During my term, with the support of our executive committee, I would
like to implement certain procedural and programmatic changes to break
the “same old“ concept . Towards this effort we were able
to have a very successful inaugural bus trip to Vraj Mandir dedicated
to our senior members. We shall continue with Natak, Picnic, Navaratri
and Diwali functions and I ask everyone to support these events with
their presence.
This year we are introducing a “Youth Wing“ in our samaj. I
encourage our young generation to be proactive and step up to the
challenge. This is a chance to show off your many faceted talents. Show
us your spirit and surprise us with your enthusiasm !!
One of my fondest hopes is to have a community centre we can call our
own. This goal is attainable if we take little steps at a time. I ask
everyone to come up with at least one idea to help us achieve this goal.
With your help and our committees dedication we will have a very successful future for GUJARATI SAMAJ OF DELAWARE.
